A perfect young Polish pair rents a recreation house on an Italian island. However, the house’s swimming pool is broken. Disregarding the fact that the entire island faces a lack of water, they demand repairs. When the repairman – an illegal immigrant – then arrives, he shatters their visions of calm and safety and ignites a chain of events that forces them to act instinctively and irrationally. A story of alienation – not only from each other, but also from a world where the hunt for comfort turns into a fight for survival.
