A romantic story of Kamala, a Hindu florist, and Salim, a Muslim from Kashmir, as they try to survive in the busy streets of Mumbai while dreaming of a better life. This animated film chronicles the lives of the people who move from small towns to a roaring metropolis. Based on true events, the film examines the contrast between the harsh reality and the perfect world unfolding on television and cinema screens.
The Indian actress, director and producer studied applied arts in Mumbai. After her studies, she produced, directed and animated several short films herself, winning many distinguished awards. Printed Rainbow was the very first Indian animated film to be chosen for Cannes, where it won several awards. And her Bombay Rose opened the Critics Week section at Venice IFF.
