Exactly thirty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989 and after the fall of Communism in Bulgaria on 10 November 1989, three police units patrol around Sofia. At first, it seems to be a night like any other. But the situations the policemen go through and the events they must face gradually paint a picture of Bulgaria today. Inspired by true events, the film is the second feature in the planned trilogy that opened with Directions.
The Bulgarian director and screenwriter graduated in film directing from a university in Sofia. His feature debut Dogs' Home was presented at festivals in Berlin and Montréal. He has made several award-winning documentaries and returned to live action with the ambitious The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner. Directions was selected for the Un Certain Regard competition in Cannes.
