Young Lucia with her sons Max and Leo leave their home in Mexico to pursue a better life in the USA. While the kids wait in a cramped flat for their mother to return from work, the wheels of their fantasy spin at top speed. They listen to fairy tales, instructions on proper behaviour, and English lessons that Lucia recorded on an old player. They create an imaginary universe in their pictures, and dream of the trip to Disneyland, promised by their mother.

Samuel Kishi Leopo

The Mexican director studied Audiovisual Arts in Guadalajara. His films were screened at over a hundred festivals worldwide, and his feature debut Mari Pepa competed in the Generation Kplus section at Berlinale. His second feature Los Lobos is based on his own childhood experience.
