Denson Baker, a New Zealand cinematographer with Māori roots, is regularly involved in the projects of his wife, Claire McCarthy, including The Luminaries (2019), Ophelia (2018), and The Colour Room. He was also behind the camera for the successful Australian film The Black Balloon (2008) and the British series Victoria (2017), and worked on the reshoots for the horror film Get Out (2017). He has received many Australian and New Zealand film awards for his work.
