The young Clarice Cliff works in a ceramics factory and intends to advance her ideas there, even though most people in England in the 1920s have Victorian notions about a woman’s role. Clarice gradually learns every aspect of the field and is not afraid to create her own colourful Art Deco designs. Will she find understanding for her pioneering actions among the men in power and thus help the factory to survive the approaching Great Depression? This feminist drama is based on a true story.
