This dark nocturnal independent road movie by the Indian director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan caught the attention of festival audiences as one of the most interesting Indian non-Bollywood pictures of last year. Against the backdrop of unexpected nighttime encounters of the main protagonists, Durga and Kabeer, the director depicts the patriarchal society of the state of Kerala, India. Sasidharan's third feature film earned him the main prize at the IFF Rotterdam.
