Seven-year-old Nora goes to school for the first time. She is supported by her older brother Abel, with whom the shy Nora would like to spend time during breaks. But instead of playing, the girl witnesses bullying. Although her brother is against it, Nora brings it to the attention of the adults. But neither the parents nor the teachers are able to understand the delicate relationship boundaries among children who are filled with the fear of finding their place in a world that can also be cruel.
Belgian screenwriter and director. Her school film Murs (2007) was selected for a number of international film festivals. Her short film Les corps étrangers (2014) competed at the Cannes Film Festival. Her feature debut Playground was screened at Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section and received the FIPRESCI Award, the director was also nominated for the European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI.
