You may know the The Double Life of Veronique, but what about Judith’s double life? It is split into two countries – Switzerland and France. It is divided by not only the borders of countries, but also those of the families to which this woman belongs – in Switzerland she lives with Abdel and has a young daughter, while in France she is raising two older sons with Melvil. The walls between the two lives crumble with every trip there and back again under the weight of a new deposit of lies. But when Judith tries to escape her own trap, her situation soon goes out of control…
This screenwriter, director, and producer has worked on shorts as well as experimental documentaries on other filmmakers. His feature-length debut The Sinkholes (2012) premiered in Locarno, while his second film Portrait of the Artist (2014) was screened at the Berlinale. Madeleine Collins starring Virginie Efira was shown in Venice and earned a scriptwriting nomination for the Lumière critics award.
