Mimmi, Emma and Rönkkö are high school friends. Their IDs say they’ve just become adults, but what the hell does that mean? Rönkkö longs to experience an organism, but with whom? Emma should want to win at figure skating, so why is she more interested in Mimmi? Especially since Mimmi doesn't seem to care about anything? Anyone who's ever tried to survive their adolescence, gotten drunk on cheap vodka, or acted like an idiot in front of the person they fancy will fall in love with this energetic party of a film set over three weekends.
A Finnish film and television director and screenwriter, she debuted with the drama Love and Fury (2016) and won the Finnish Jussi Award for Force of Habit (2019), a film by seven directors. Her third film, Girl Picture, was enthusiastically received at leading film festivals – it premiered at Sundance, where it won the Audience Award, was screened in the Generation section at the Berlinale and opened this year's BFI Flare.
