French inspector Alain arrives in Nagorno-Karabakh, a territory long disputed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to report on the newly reconstructed airport. The locals see it as a crucial event, since the airport enables contact with the rest of the world and is a symbolic confirmation of their own existence. However, Alain’s seemingly simple task is complicated because of the complex local political situation – and, quite unexpectedly, because of a little boy.
Nora was born in Armenia back when it was part of the USSR. After graduating from the Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts, she moved to the Netherlands and later to France. Her début film Should The Wind Drop was accepted to last year’s Cannes IFF, and awarded at the Black Nights in Tallinn and the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights in Geneva.
