The second week in April of regional Echos of Febiofest presents in Ostrava its winning film By a Sharp Knife directed by Slovak director Teodor Kuhn and the closing film is Gloria Bell with Julianne Moore in the leading role. The municipal cinema in Mikulov offers programme for children Japanese film Mirai nominated for an Oscar for the Best Animated Feature film or the film held in South Africa Mia and the White Lion with Czech dubbing. Festival will end in Mikulov with the film The Keeper.
Febiofest stats today in Kladno with films Fighting with my family and Stan & Ollie. The closing film of the festival in Kladno is the biographical drama Vice which follows the rise of the former Vice President of the USA Dick Cheney.
Liberec starts with Oscar winning documentary Free solo and the next day is dedicated to the icon of the fashion Vivienne Westwood in the documentary Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist which will continue with the discussion Pub Quiz on the topic of the pop culture with the moderator Šimon Holý from Radio Wave.
On the April 12 the festival starts in Děčín with the biopic Vice and on the programme are two documentaries Free solo and the unique project of the World War I of director Peter Jackson They shall not grow old. The festival ends in Děčín by a moral and existential odyssey Destroyer starring with the excellent Nicole Kidman.
