Vica Kerekes (1981, Filakovo). Having graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, she moved to Budapest, where she distinguished herself as a theatre actress. Her film debut came during her studies in 2004 when she acted in a film by Jiří Chlumský Final Station. She has since performed in dozens of films, TV films and shows. Czech audience knows her from the comedy Shameless, adaptation of the Michal Viewegh’s bestseller Tales of Marriage and Sex by the director Hřebejk, or as the sexy Šarlota in Jiří Vendělek’s comedy Men in Hope. In 2013 she was awarded the price IGRIC for “Best Actress”, recognizing her role as Agnes in the drama 7 Days of Sin, a role that also got her a nomination for the Czech Lion.
At the 28th Prague IFF – Febiofest, Vica Kerekes will attend a projection of a new romantic comedy Cream shot by a Hungarian director Nóra Lakos.
