She was born in Pardubice, and after studying journalism at Charles University, she obtained a master's degree in human rights from London University. She has worked in radio, press, and at TV Nova. Since 2000 she has been a presenter on Czech Television, where she hosts the program 168 Hours. She won the Journalistic Quail Award in 2010. She is actively interested in the topic of single parenthood and has established several charity collections and the Šatník Foundation to help single parents.
