Kosta Ristic (Serbia) is a director and screenwriter who not only studied direction at school in Belgrade, but also participated in a Werner Herzog's workshop in Cuba. While he was there he made his short film Dos Patrias, inspired by the verse of Cuba's national hero José Martí. The film was later presented in Cannes in the ACID section. His feature debut, Bandits in Search of Mom, focuses on abandoned children living in the streets of Belgrade, and will be introduced by the director at Febiofest on 23rd March. (New Europe)
