Director
John Butler (Ireland) is a well-known Irish director, screenwriter, writer, and a winner of an Irish Film and Television Academy Award. He earned his fame thanks to a quirky comedy TV show, Your Bad Self. His latest feature film, Papi Chulo, became the best live-action Irish film at IFF Dublin, and it was presented at numerous international festivals including Toronto, the festival where his previous film, Handsome Devil, and his feature debut, The Stag, also premiered. The director will introduce his black comedy about loneliness and friendship at Febiofest between 23 and 26 March (Queer Now).
