Jan Strejcovský is a graduate of the Department of Documentary Making at Prague’s FAMU. As well as making documentaries (a portrait of Igor Chaun entitled Igor’s Big Emotion and Epic Complex, a road movie about the Slav Epic) he occasionally acts in films by both debutants and major Czech directors (Tomáš Pavlíček, Jan Hřebejk, Jan Prušinovský). In 2016 he set up production company GPO Platform, which is focused on authorial documentaries, with fellow FAMU documentary graduates.
