Theatre and film director from Romania, born in 1989 inTimișoara. After graduating from the National Theater and Film Academy, he mainly worked as an actor. His masterful feature film debut Poppy Field was presented at a number of renowned festivals and celebrations of queer film – from IFF in San Francisco to BFI in London and Serbian QFF Merlinka. The film was also awarded the Transilvania IFF Award for Best Directing and the Audience Award this summer.
Eugen Jebeleanu will present his debut Poppy Field at the 28th Prague IFF – Febiofest.
