Laura is trying to write her first novel, working in a café in the meantime. She lives with her best friend Tyler from the USA who doesn't get on with her family. Both young women enjoy wild bar crawls around Dublin nightclubs where alcohol flows freely and drugs are consumed en masse. The situation changes when Laura gets engaged to Jim, who is an abstinent. This film adaptation of Emma Jane Unsworth's eponymous novel examines the dynamics of modern relationships.

Sophie Hyde

The Australian director and screenwriter first focused on acting. She and her current partner Bryan Mason founded Closer Productions, a company with which they have produced videos for nightclubs, dance shows, and documentaries. Her feature debut 52 Tuesdays won many awards including a Crystal Bear at Berlinale.
