This ambitious documentary project gives voice to over two thousand women in fifty countries all over the world, and tells the story of womanhood without national, cultural or generational borders. More than two thousand women share their view on what it means to be a woman in everyday life and in general, offering new perspectives of womanhood and femininity, from love and motherhood to emancipation, politics, power and independence, to sexuality, taboo topics and violence.

The Ukrainian director and journalist and the French photographer and reporter have been working together since 2009 when they met while working on Earth from Above, a series of documentaries based on the eponymous photography book. Their following project was Human, a documentary where they interviewed hundreds of people from various environments and backgrounds.
