A young Brazilian tribesman falls ill when he refuses to follow his ancestors' traditions. Instead of accepting a shaman's fate, he seeks help in Western medicine. This meditative, almost documentary drama depicts the tension between the duty to honour ancient traditions and the inevitable influence of the modern world. The film was made with non-actors of the Krahô tribe and offers a unique insight into their lifestyle.
