A shy anthropologist and a former convict meet in the slums of Bucharest. Adi is writing a dissertation on Romany music and hires Albert as his guide. The motley duo becomes a couple facing surprising twists in their new intimate relationship. Mladenovič's debut draws from her documentary work and, like Adi – who wrote the script and even plays the role as himself – she lets the authenticity of the Ferentari ghetto become the beating heart of the story.
