Fifteen-year-old Lyz arrives at a ski school where she quickly goes from being a “sitting duck” to the team’s hope for gold medals in the world’s most important slalom races. As a result, she spends more and more time with her coach Fred, even though his interest in her soon threatens to go beyond a purely professional relationship. The carefully built psychological drama is set in visually-appealing alpine locations.
The short film director and producer made her feature film debut last year with Slalom, which won awards at the Deauville and Tallinn festivals. Slalom also boasts rave reviews from critics and the prestigious “Cannes label” awarded to films selected for the cancelled 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
