Conor's teenage years in Dublin in the 1980s are far from easy. His dad has lost his job, the parents' marriage is falling apart, and Conor must transfer to a cheaper school where everybody bullies him. However, he meets Raphina, falls in love with her and invites her to play in his band's music video. There's just one snag – Conor doesn't have any band yet. John Carney's (Once, Love Song) musical comedy was nominated for a Golden Globe.
