Young, relatively poor and at the beginning of a monotonous career as a sound engineer, Vadym decides to take advantage of a financially attractive offer and sets out to record animal sounds in the Carpathian Mountains. The new job may bring him closer to his dream of moving to Canada, but his journey is full of complications – including his mother. Through their relationship, the film explores an eternal and nearly universal problem between parents and children, which adulthood does little to resolve…
The thirty-year-old Uzhgorod native has worked on television and VOD series, along with successful student films. His feature debut My Thoughts Are Silent won a Special Mention in the East of the West competition at the Karlovy Vary Festival. It has also enjoyed domestic success, winning the Audience Award at the Odesa Film Festival and being named best film at the Ukrainian Film Academy's Golden Dzyga awards.
