Sweden is a war zone, and a man is forced to take flight with his 4-year-old son Jimmie. They travel south in the hope of a peaceful future. Seen from a Nordic perspective, director Jesper Ganslandt has created a “reverse” refugee story. Told from the child’s perspective, the world is a disturbing place underlined by Dardennesque close-ups as if we were there with them, and to add to the intimacy, the director and his own son plays the two lead roles.
