Aniara is just one of many spaceships transporting Earth’s population to a life on Mars, leaving a damaged planet behind. Optimism is high, and so are the living standards onboard with plenty of entertainment, propaganda and mass consumerism. But soon after take-off, they are shot off course and face a detour that will span years.
