Midlife crises don’t spare even seemingly perfect couples. Novelist Paul and actress Emilia are no exception. They forget about grey hair, wrinkles, and fading sex appeal and start enjoying themselves like they did in their youth. After all, fifty is the new thirty. But is all the fun worth it? Even when divorce is at stake? Well-known German director Florian Gallenberger has made an audience-pleasing film filled with real-life situations.
The Munich native studied philosophy and psychology, then turned to film, winning an Oscar for his short film Quiero ser (I want to be...) (1999). He later made his mark with the historical dramas John Rabe (2004) and The Colony (2015). His latest film It's Just a Phase, Honey premiered at the Zurich film festival.
