Lisa lives a dull life in a New York suburb. Her marriage is a grinding stereotype, her kids aren't really interested in her, and her job as a kindergarten teacher doesn't satisfy her either. Her only escape from the routine is her evening poetry class. When Lisa discovers a gift for poetry in one of her kindergarten kids, she is willing to give up everything to support his talent.
