TIGER NIGHT TOOK OVER FEBIOFEST, UNDER THE BATON OF THE THREE TIGERS, THOUGH THERE ARE ACTUALLY FOUR OF THEM: ŠTĚPÁN KOZUB, ROBIN FERRO, ALBERT ČUBA AND VLADIMÍR POLÁK

The members of the improv group Three Tigers, sailing from the Mír Theatre in Ostrava, came to Cinema City Slovanský dům in Prague. “There used to be three of us, but two and a half years into our existence I had an injury and Vláďa came to sub for me. We had so much fun together that he ended up staying until the end of time,” Robin Ferro explained the odd math. The group screened three sketches for the Febiofest audience. “Some of this material has never been seen and some of it has only been available on our platform MírPlay, so unless you’re a subscriber, you also couldn’t have seen it before,” Albert Čuba pointed out, never missing a chance to plug Mír Theatre, its VOD platform, and the Three Tigers.

The sketch titled The Incredible Story of Knights Hnojen and Balthasar and How They Grew Wiser was a complete premiere. “This one’s interesting – we made it two years ago, but it never made its way out. So you guys are our test audience,” Čuba said. Štěpán Kozub mentioned that he was the one who directed the medium-length film comedy Troupers: Infinity Spurs, which was also presented during Tiger Night. “I also wrote it, since the first version of the screenplay was unshootable,” he turned to Čuba. “To this I’d like to add that the screenplay for Hnojen was written by Vladimír here. Not that we actively stuck with it, really,” Čuba retorted. “I just want to add that I’ve never written anything,” Ferro said, concluding the entertaining introduction.
