A prestigious school in Paris for the children of the Legion of Honour members. A Haitian girl divulges a family secret to a group of new friends, without realizing what impact the peculiar story will have on them. Based on Haiti's tragic post-colonial history, this allegorical “zombie” horror was presented at Quinzaine de Réalisateurs in Cannes.
The French director got noticed with his first film Quelque chose d’organique (1998), presented at Berlin IFF. His works are often featured at major festivals – Le Pornographe (2001) in the Critics Week section in Cannes, De la guerre (2008) in the Quinzaine de Réalisateurs section, and biopic Saint Laurent (2014) in the main competition in Cannes IFF.
