Two old men travel across Slovakia to learn the truth about the past. On their journey, they build a fragmented picture of a world that changes on the outside, but unsolved conflicts simmer underneath. As they get to know each other, they start to understand their own actions and reconsider their identity. Jiří Menzel stars as the ascetic Ali, and the role of hedonistic Georg is played by Peter Simonischek, known from Oscar-nominated Toni Erdmann.
