Just after the war, Eda and his friend Tonda attend a boys' class at an elementary school in a Prague suburb. One day, their pranks drive their teacher crazy, and Igor Hnízdo arrives as a substitute to enforce strict discipline. Now a legendary film, it was the directorial debut of Jan Svěrák, based on the screenplay by his father, Zdeněk Svěrák. The cast full of famous Czech actors is rightfully ruled by Jan Tříska as Igor Hnízdo.
