Sasha is the lover of the Dutch gangster Michael. When he takes his family on vacation in Turkey, he brings Sasha along. Sasha recklessly enjoys his vacation villa, shopping trips, and wild parties. But she crashes into trouble when she veers from her prescribed role and harmlessly flirts with a stranger. The young Sasha begins learning the dark side of her dream life of luxury. Dark comedy meets rugged thriller in this visually seductive and provocative ambiguous portrait of unequal power relationships.
This Swedish director and screenwriter first studied film direction in Goteborg and then went on to study at The National Film School of Denmark. She contributed to the script for the 2018 movie Border, which was nominated for the European Film Award. Her feature-length debut Holiday was shown at a number of international festivals including Sundance and gained four Bodil awards from the Danish Film Critics Association and six nominations for Robert Awards from the Danish Film Academy.
