Supermodel Madeline Stuart attends events like New York Fashion Week, has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, and appears on the covers of prestigious fashion magazines. Despite this, many people primarily see her as a woman with Down syndrome. Filmed over four years, the documentary sensitively and closely follows a young woman as she travels the world with the support of her loving mother, expanding society’s limited view of the beauty and potential of people with disabilities.

The Swedish director, screenwriter and journalist collaborated on the documentary series Bergmans video in 2012. She continued to focus on the personality of Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman in the documentary Bergman - A Year in a Life (2018), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won a European Film Award. Her new film Maddy the Model was presented at last year’s Danish online festival CPH: DOX.
