As young girls in a Georgian village, Nana and Irina used to spend the nights watching the sky and shyly exploring their mutual feelings. Tamar Shavgulidze

This unique Georgian director and admirer of Chantal Akerman's work was born in Tbilisi. She studied film directing at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University. She debuted with Born in Georgia, her second feature Comets premiered at Toronto IFF.
